Stopping for a Pint in Old Tom's Bar, Leadenhall Market, in the City of London

The City's symbol is a dragon, bearing the red cross of Saint George, patron saint of England.

  1. Great pictures! The market is a fantastic creation and situated next to the appalling Lloyds building at that! I have a pic combining bits of both and the market wins hands down.

  2. I do love dragons and I appreciate your posting some dragon pics for me here. But that dragon, well, ummm, that's a dragon only a dragon mother could love. I mean, he's pretty scary looking. And that red tongue, I assume it means he's a fire breathing dragon. And those red polished toe nails. Yep, that is one conflicted dragon there. Felix. Yep, Felix is his name and all of the other dragons on the playground wouldn't let him play dragon games.
"Felix the red nailed dragon, had some very shiny toes .... sing, sing .... Then one foggy St. George's night, an angel came to say, 'Felix with your nails so bright, won't you ravish our virgin tonight ...'" Unhappily, the story of a would be virgin killer. I bet his mum cried.
