Some Images from My Working Week.

There's no real need for  an accompanying text, I was just going through my pics, taken as part of my working life, I use the phone-cam as a handy memory aid as I work, saves me innumerable notebook pages. Sometimes, I think the places I work are a computer-gamer's dream world. I expect space-suited explorers of the abandoned facility to leap out at any moment, brandishing the Super Plasma Cannon that they picked up on level 8.

Vintage fuel beneath this, I'm sure.
My 1962 Landrover drools for a hit of the old stuff as we pass by.

Mmmm... still got some in, none of that bio-ethanol nonsense in there, it's all old-school carcinogens, and tetraethyl lead additives.

    1. Steamed punk is curiously enticing to me. I grew up reading Jules Verne, and other prototypical authors, I love that feeling that the victorians and edwardians had that anything was possible if you had enough brass, copper pipe, gauges, and steam.
My favourite Arthur Conan-Doyle character was not Sherlock Holmes, but Professor Challenger, he who found "The Lost World", where dinosaurs survived, far up on one of those cloud-wreathed plateaus in the Mato Grosso.

  3. I'm a bit worried. You see, I've been offered a chance of volunteer work at a Transport Museum and I have a horrible feeling it's going to be full of gentlemen like yourself who think I should gaze adoringly at stuff like this.

    1. You are not expected to gaze adoringly at these things. As a woman, you have the option of just tittering daintily.

    1. Tyler, Nice blog.... I'm usually very suspicious of any link that exhorts me to visit anything because they're mostly blatant spam.
      Yours isn't.
      Thumbs up!
