I am the grit in the gears, the missing bolt, I am the poker of sticks into spokes. I like to know how things work, but sometimes when I take them apart and rebuild them, I have a few pieces left over. I am a man, so I tend to leave reading the instructions until after it goes wrong. And like all men I have a comprehensive mental map of the world and never need to ask directions. I never get lost, only sometimes I'm late, or end up in the wrong place entirely. It's what we do.
the technology is uber-cool, but i think i'd have to run away if one of those fish came after me!

Sometimes I dream that I am swimming through the air. It's slow and laborious.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteI want one.
That was interesting. I liked the shark a lot. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I would love to play with these, but I'd prefer a generic fish-like fish, rather than these two attention-seeking characters.
ReplyDeleteAn air-swimming fish is cool in itself, I don't need to be beaten over the head with an inflatable hammer, with the designer yelling "Geddit? Geddit?!!!"
RDG: Hey Mule! No need to fear, just hold a big pin in one hand, they'll swim away, fast.
ReplyDeleteNag: Me too. I wonder if it's a universal dream? swimming through the air, and if you stop, you just.... stop. As if the air's super-viscous, like honey.
Adullamite: You'd fry it. In batter, with chips, go on, man, admit it!
Max: Be afraid. That shark could so easily take a small dog, maybe a leg at a time.
