I really want that second car. It'll be available by 1964!
This is from the thoroughly excellent and highly entertaining Paleofuture Blog. Go there to find out more of the tomorrows of yesterday.
I want the future, dammit.
Because the cost of coal for my steam-dirigible, frankly, is bankrupting me. The sooner the practical oil-fuelled automobile is developed, the better.
Brilliant! I want the second one!
ReplyDelete"Grit In The Gears" has been included in this weeks Sites To See. I hope you like the image I featured, and I hope this helps to attract many new visitors here.

P.S.: This should prove that I am not holding your association with Adullamite against you.
hi soub, seriously, i wonder whatever happened to the built in hydraulic jacking system. that'd be great today if you ask me
ReplyDeleteAdullamite, you can have any of the others, I have reserved the second one already.
ReplyDeleteFishhawk: any association with Adullamite is illusory. For heaven's sake, i'm a yorkshireman and he's a scot. You do know that it's still legal to shoot any scotsmen found within the city walls of York, after curfew on any day other than sunday?
I must warn you, on including me on sites to see, that I'm a godless heathen.
But not a raving atheist. My philosophy allows for a certain rapprochement with the god I don't believe in.
I can't remember who it was who said "It matters not if I believe in god, so long as he believes in me". But that's a whole different subject.
Jim: Inbuilt hydraulic jacking, oh yes, if only.
ReplyDeleteLondon Taxis of the nineteen fifties and sixties had it, as do/did all the citroen cars with hydropneumatic suspension.
I love this stuff! It reminds me of my idealistic youth.
